William Berlind (book, music, lyrics) is six-time TONY winning theater producer, writer and musician. His Tony award winning productions include Dear Evan Hansen, Oklahoma!, All The Way, A View from the Bridge, Skylight, and HELLO, Dolly!. William began his professional life as a reporter for The New York Observer and The New York Times Magazine, covering sports, arts and business. Coincidental to his journalism career, William worked as a session musician and engineer at the legendary Magic Shop studio in New York City. William has recorded, engineered and played on countless albums including Burning Spears' GRAMMY-winning, Jah Is Real. He has published fiction in the British literary quarterly Five Dials and moonlights as a singer, vocalist and arranger for the popular Brooklyn wedding band, The Engagements.
James Luria (book, lyrics) is a writer, producer, entrepreneur, and former media executive. He has written screenplays, and has written for Slate. He is also co-founder and chief content officer in Superlative, a consultancy and creative agency. He has held executive positions at Fox Entertainment, where he launched the first FOX.com and oversaw online creative development of Fox Television shows, including the first websites for The Simpsons and The X-FILES, and also at AOL where he founded the company’s first creative development department. MORNING IN FREEDOMIA is his first musical.
